Instructors, Assessors, Evaluators, Directors of Instruction, Coach Trainers, Coach & Referee & Management Administrators- We have finalized the migration plan. Based on requests from the Board, we have moved the migration back...
If you are a Regional Referee Administrator or a Regional Commissioner – or just a senior referee in your Region – please encourage your up-and-comers to attend the Camps, and ask your Region to support them financially to do so. The skills they bring back – whether in refereeing, instructing, or assessing and mentoring – will greatly improve your Region’s programs. It’s also a great way to recognize committed volunteers who contribute a lot to your Region.
Our motto is “Immerse Yourself in Soccer,” and that’s what you will do, day and night, for two or three days (depending on the course attended). You will be taught by some of the finest referee instructors in AYSO, and you will meet and interact with other AYSO referees from all over Southern California and beyond. For many campers the networking is the best part of the Camps.
Each year we provide added value with additional activities and instruction over and above the regular AYSO curricula.
This year our Principal Guest Instructor again will be Kim Oberle. She was chosen to represent the United States on the FIFA Panel of Assistant Referees in 2005, working over 25 international matches before she retired in 2007. She then became a USSF National Referee Assessor, National Instructor, Professional Referee Organization (PRO) Referee Coach for MLS, WPS and NWSL referees and CONCACAF referee inspector. She has been our Principal Guest Instructor several times and received rave reviews from the attendees for her knowledge, teaching ability, and insight into refereeing and the game of soccer.
Get more information about the Camps and register online at www.kenastoncamps.org. Register by May 31 to get the early-bird registration fee of $250 ($225 for the Assessor courses), which includes camp materials, lodging, and food for the weekend. Most Regions will support you financially to attend – please ask them to do so.
